I’ve long pondered about a project car and given my deep love for automobiles, its actually quite surprising that it took me this long. After a few years and many different cars moving up, down, in and out of my shortlist I settled on an unlikely candidate… A 1999 Mitsubishi Pajero GLS V6.

The Mitsubishi brand has a rich history of veering away from the beaten path, down roads less traveled and the Pajero, sold in other markets as the Montero and Shogun is no stranger to the podium as an acclaimed Dakar rally winner, many times over and shares its limelight with the famous Mitsubishi Evo series which dominated rally circuits the world over, in a fierce rivalry with their nemesis, the Subaru WRX STi.

The plan is to slowly restore this mammoth vehicle to, and far beyond its former glory into a reliable XL station wagon with enough space for my family adventures and the ability to follow roads-less-traveled. Follow this project in the related posts below.
