I used a Raspberry Pi as a 3D Print server with Octoprint

Printing became cumbersome when I had to have my machine tethered to it all the time. Thankfully, Octoprint comes to my rescue with a tiny little linux distro that is built for that sole purpose. I downloaded the image and burned it to a microSD card. After the initial setup, I was up and running in no time. The printer tethers via the Pi’s USB port and to your PC via the network over the ethernet port. It also offers remote monitoring so I’ll definately be adding a camera later.
